We are starting to focus on The Articles of Faith this year. The girls will work on this throughout the year.
This month we are working on the 5th Article.
We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
What better way to learn about money and tithing, but to have a fun game about it? Each girl had a chance to win an everyday item that their mother or father would go shopping for. The girl that guessed closest to the actual price, without going over, won that prize. It was fun to see how much they thought things were.
After the game, we talked about the importance of tithing and why we are Latter Day Saints, paid our tithing. Each girl got their own tithing jar, so they can start saving.
We usually play a game and this was no exception. Nicole had a fun game that the girls played with a penny. The best part was when it was time for Nicole to hide the penny in her hand, no one guessed it was there! Silly girls :)
